Now that the holiday decorations are up in and around the Square, it is a great time to stroll the streets at night and enjoy all the sparkly lights.
Keep Wimberley Beautiful has been very busy recently doing our part to, well, Keep Wimberley Beautiful. The bridge is gorgeous, adorned with all the green swags and lovely bows and wreaths. Take a walk down Old Kyle Road to see the festive decorations in Martha Knies Park, and the new rainwater collection tank that we recently installed, in hopes of having adequate water to keep the grounds lovely next spring. KWB has also added some holiday decorations to the Wimberley Square bed, which has been rebuilt after the recent damage. Even though we don’t currently have live plants, because of Stage 4 Water Restrictions, enjoy the holiday-decorated containers in front of the Candy Cottage. KWB takes care of these yearround.
The spectacular Trail of Lights at EmilyAnn Gardens opened Saturday, December 2, and will continue through December 26. This free event (donations encouraged) brings people from many Hill Country towns, as well as lots of folks from Austin. Many local businesses and families maintain their own patch of garden there throughout the year, and always decorate it for the holiday season. Be sure to check out our KWB garden, which has lovely, festive holiday decorations for all to enjoy.
The Welcome to Wimberley signs on all four entrances to the village are decked out in flags and holiday decorations, thanks to KWB volunteers. So many things for you to see and enjoy in our little slice of heaven. Happy Holidays from KWB.
