Letters to the Editor

it.

Dear City of Woodcreek neighbors, I am writing in support of re-election for Mayor Jeff Rasco and for city council candidates Debra Hines and newcomer Krista Richardson.

As a member of the Parks and Recreation Board in Woodcreek, I am excited about the momentum we have going with park improvements. Previously, I was unsure if a park would ever become a reality. Rasco and the current council have been supportive in these efforts every step of the way. Selfishly, I want to see this continue.

In the past two years, we have experienced much needed changes with lowered tax rates. Rasco and Hines have been instrumental in making sure that we apply for grants and utilize bonds where applicable to help with the costs of projects. Rasco spearheaded an additional homestead property tax exemption for seniors and disabled citizens. There’s no logical argument against major positive improvements that come at little or no cost to citizens. It’s a winwin.

Jeff Rasco listens to concerns and addresses them respectfully and with a solution-oriented focus. Debra Hines is a wealth of information and puts an unprecedented amount of time and energy into making sure the actions of the city are above board and supported by citizens using data from citizen surveys. We’ve been so fortunate to have them putting in their time and talents for the City of Woodcreek.

I believe that Krista Richardson will bring a measured, thoughtful voice to the council. Her areas of concern are areas of concern for all of us in Woodcreek, and she has my full support.

Woodcreek is a wonderful place to live. Rasco, Hines, and Richardson will only help to support further positive changes. Join me in voting for Rasco, Hines, and Richardson–

it.
