Wimberley extended their winning streak to 11 games as the Texans swept both Blanco and Fredericksburg, the latter being the first district game of the season.
Amidst the 11 game winning streak, the Texans have also won 16 straight sets while winning their last 26 of 27 sets during the streak.
In their last game before district, Wimberley made the trip out to Blanco to take on one of their oldest rivals in the Blanco Panthers.
In a dominant performance, the Texans rolled through the Panthers for 3-0 (25-16, 25-20, 25-17) sweep.
Leading the team in kills was junior Laney Hennessee, with 11 kills, followed by sophomore Addison Parks, with nine. Sophomore Cameron Thames and senior Kenslee Brown rounded out the top three tied with seven kills apiece.
Hennessee also led the team in kills with two while senior Jesse Weeks had one.
Weeks led the team in both digs and assists with 25 assists and 16 digs.
Brown and Parks both led the team in blocks with four apiece.
Heading into the district opener, the Texans made the trip out into the Hill Country to battle long time rival Fredericksburg.
Wimberley once again came out on top as the Texans dominated the Billies for another 3-0 (2512, 25-18, 25-11) win.
Hennessee led Wimberley in kills, with 12, followed by Brown, with five, and Thames with four.
Junior Rhagen Masur led the Texans in Aces with seven followed by Hennessee with four.
Weeks led the team in assists with 19.
Wimberley played Davenport at home on Tuesday with the game concluding after the Wimberley View’s time of press.
