Wimberley Market Day will take place again next month during the Labor Day weekend on Saturday, Sept. 2.
The Wimberley Lions Club’s directory and map, available at Lions Field, makes quick work of finding unique treasures such as the beautifully crafted cedar table shown in the accompanying photograph. Lions members at the information table at Gate 2 will be able to direct visitors to specific vendors and the many concession stands around the multi-acre marketplace, to assist in and enhance shoppers’ treasure hunting experience.
As always, live music starts at 11 a.m. and goes until about 1 p.m. Angelo and the Blue Dogs will headline the Pavilion stage. Meg Groves will play at the Shady Grove stage and Sam Downing will play at the Hilltop stage.
Wimberley Market Day is held on the first Saturday of each month, rain or shine. September’s shopping hours are from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Lions Field is located off FM 2325, about a mile from the Wimberley Square. The $5 donation accepted at the Lions Club’s parking lots helps to fund the various grants and scholarships distributed by the Wimberley Lions Club.
