The Wimberley Institute of Cultures annually awards Bill Johnson Memorial scholarships to WISD graduating seniors.
The 2023 scholarships went to three seniors: Lane Patek, Bryce Phillips and Thomas Watson. The scholarships were presented in front of the Buck Winn exhibit at the Wimberley Valley Museum in honor of Bill Johnson, one of the Wimberley community’s greatest supporters and a founding member of WIC. WIC members Eric Eskelund, Charles LeCompte, Martha Barchfeld, and John Poe attended the presentation on behalf of the organization.
