Place 1, Place 3 and Place 5 City Council Members were officially sworn in on Friday, May 12 for new two-year terms, which began immediately.
Precinct 3 Justice of the Peace Andrew Cable performed the swearing-in at Wimberley City Hall. Rebecca Minnick will be serving her third term as Place 1, David Cohen will be serving his second term as Place 5 and Chris Sheffield will be serving in his first full term as Place 3 after being appointed to the position last fall.
All three Council Members ran unopposed.
The council elected Rebecca Minnick to continue to serve as Mayor Pro Tem.
Terms for Mayor, Place 2 and Place 4 will be up in 2024. Wimberley City Council terms alternate each year.
