The Wimberley Rotary Club has once again handed out its annual scholarships, this time to recipients Trinity Rivera and Thomas Watson.
Ozona Bank vice president and scholarship committee member Shelly Hicks attended the Award Ceremony on Thursday, May 11 and presented the award letters to Trinity and Thomas. Hicks said she was delighted to learn that the Wimberley community had raised over $230,000 for local graduating seniors.
Trinity has already dedicated over 1,100 hours in community service and hopes to continue volunteering while training to become a veterinarian at Berry College.
Thomas will focus on studies in Mechanical Engineering and plans to join Engineers Without Borders after graduation.
