Katy Starr, Alexis Pointe Senior Living’s Community Relations Director won the 2023 Texas Assisted Living Association Hero Award last month.
The announcement was made on April 5 in Round Rock. TALA recognizes heroes in the assisted living industry who have demonstrated dedication and excellence over the past year.
“Congratulations to our own Katy Starr for winning the Hero Award this year,” shared Taylor Smith, Regional Director of Sales and Marketing. “We are proud to have wonderful people like Katy on our team who reflect what TALA encompasses by enriching the lives of Texas seniors, developing those who care for them, and being a voice for both groups.”
The excitement was preceded by another exciting celebration, orchestrated in large part by Starr. On April 4, residents, volunteers and staff revealed their finished art mural as part of a large community event. Participants were able to see the final artwork and meet the residents, volunteers, and artists who helped make the project happen.
