Septic System Workshop

This workshop will take place on Wednesday, May 3, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Hays County Precinct 3 Office,Agrilife Extension Office, 200 Stillwater Drive in Wimberley,TX 78676. Attendees will gain a better understanding of how to maintain their septic system to protect the health of their family and the environment.

Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group Meeting

The Alzheimer’s Caregivers will meet Thursday, May 4, at 1 p.m. at the Wimberley Presbyterian Church Library, 956 FM 2325. This is an opportunity for caregivers to meet with others who are caring for a loved one with dementia. Groundwater Conservation District Meeting

The Hays Trinity GCD will be reviewing the 2022 drought performance and will release the top water users at their May meeting on Thursday, May 4 at 6 p.m. in Wimberley.

Wimberley Community Chorus’s “Peace Like a River”

All are invited to attend the Wimberley Community Chorus’s spring concert series on May 5 and May 6 at 7 p.m., as well as Sunday, May 7 at 3 p.m. in Avey Hall, Chapel in the Hills, 14601 Ranch Rd. 12 in Wimberley.

WEEKLY EVENTS Adult Craft LAB with Wimberley Library

Adult Craft LAB is a year-round tinker and craft program for adults 18+. Classes are held virtually via Zoom. Classes run on Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. There is a class limit of 10 on a first come, first-served basis. Supply kits are free and included with each class. Supply kits are available inside the library in the craft area, Monday–Wednesday from 1 to 6 p.m.

Farmers and Artisan Market

The new Farmers & Artisan Market is a community-based event specializing in fresh foods from growers, allowing people to buy their food directly from those who are producing it. The market also welcomes a wide variety of vendors with crafts, art, jewelry and more. Join every Thursday, from 2 to 6 p.m. at 15951 Winters Mill Pkwy. outside First Baptist Church.

Wimberley Valley Museum

The Wimberley Valley Museum, located in the 1857 Winters-Wimberley House, is open for visitors every Friday from 1 to 4 p.m. and on the first weekend of each month (Market Day weekend) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Friday and Saturday).

VFW Bingo

The Wimberley VFW Post 6441 hosts bingo on Friday nights.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with food concessions. Early bird games start at 7 p.m. Regular games start at 8 p.m. For more information, visit vfw6441.com/bingo.

MONTHLY EVENTS Coffee and Cars at Blanco Brew

Coffee & Cars is held the First Sunday of every month at Blanco Brew, 14200 RR 12, in Wimberley from 8 to 11 a.m. Anyone with a hot rod, muscle car, sports car, exotic, classic truck or unique ride is welcome to put their car on display.

Wimberley Garden Club

Join the Wimberley Garden Club for monthly programs about gardening in the Hill Country on the second Wednesday of every month, September to May. Presentations start at 10 a.m. February and March meetings will be at The EmilyAnn Theare & Gardens. Details at wimberleygardenclub.org.

Parent’s Night Out

Drop off your kiddos at the Wimberley Community Center for the evening and Wimberley’s Parks and Recreation Department will keep them entertained. Kids will enjoy games, arts, crafts, homework help and group activities for youth ages 6 – 13. Dates are the second Thursday of every month from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Registration is $10 perchild, and drop-off will begin at the Wimberley Community Center at 5:30 pm.
