Knights present gifts to emergency responders

The Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Assembly 3109 recently donated funds to a number of the Wimberley Valley Emergency Responders in appreciation of their service.

The Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Assembly 3109 recently donated funds to a number of the Wimberley Valley Emergency Responders in appreciation of their service.

The money was raised by the 4th Degree Knights, which is KofC’s Patriotic Degree, at their recent Mardi Gras Casino Night. The fundraiser supported the Knights’ second-annual Emergency Responders Appreciation Lunch, which was held last month at the Hays County Precinct 3 Annex and fed over 110 local Emergency Responders. The luncheon was designed to honor and applaud those who unselfishly serve our community.

The 4th Degree Knights were able to donate checks of equal amounts to Wimberley EMS, the Fire Department, the Constables Office, and the Sheriff’s Department, as well as a special gift to the local Department of Public Safety office.
