The 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, based out of St. Mary Catholic Church in Wimberley, hosted its second-annual Emergency Responders Appreciation lunch to thank local emergency responders and staff for their service to the community.
The luncheon, an outdoor barbecue, was held at the Hays County Constable’s Office (Precinct 3) from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The meal, a buffet of brisket, chicken and sausage, was served to-go style with all the “fixin’s” available: potato salad, green beans, bread and pickles. The meal was free of charge to attendees, and a coffee truck was available for additional drink purchases nearby.
Emergency agencies in attendance included the Hays County Sheriff’s Office, the Hays County (Pct. 3) Constable’s Office, Wimberley Fire Rescue, Wimberley EMS, Hays County Emergency Services, Hays County Justice of the Peace (Pct. 3) and emergency service staff from the cities of Wimberley and Woodcreek.
Wimberley Mayor Gina Fulkerson was also in attendance to help serve the meal.
