The Transportation Town Hall will be held at 5 p.m. on March 27 at Wimberley City Hall, located at 221 Stillwater Road.

“We are looking at ways the City can make our walkways and roadways safer,” said Mayor Pro Tem. Rebecca Minnick. “This will be a chance for citizens to engage with [the] Council on proposed solutions to the challenges that the city is experiencing.”

Items for discussion include: Sidewalk on RR12 — Texas Department of Transportation, which has jurisdiction on Ranch Road 12 through Wimberley, has proposed a sidewalk along that road from FM 3237 to Wimberley Square. This project may qualify for a state grant.

Old Kyle Road/RR 12 congestion flowing into Wimberley Square A cut-through road from Oldham to RR 12 Parking issues on Old Kyle Road and RR 12 An update on sidewalk on 2325 from Wimberley High School to H-E-B In addition to visual aids on a few of the projects, the town hall will be organized in a format for citizens to ask questions and get immediate responses from Mayor Gina Fulkerson and the rest of the Wimberley City Council. It is scheduled to last from 5 to 7 p.m.

“This format allows us to take questions directly from citizens,” said Fulkerson. “We are open to ideas and feedback and look forward to a positive exchange.”
