Local residents Dan and Connie Caldwell were honored for their community service late last year with a framed notice from World Bible School.

Dan and Connie, ages 94 and 92 respectively, are long-term residents of Wimberley. Dan — a World War II veteran — and his wife Connie recently celebrated 74 years of marriage. Both have long been active with WBS, an international ministry of the Churches of Christ which provides Bible courses online and in print.

For more than 20 years, Connie served in various capacities for WBS. She and her husband were recognized for their combined years of service with a notice on the WBS “Wall of Honor” — a designated wall at its location in Cedar Park with the names of dedicated volunteers and staff members.

“The Caldwells are greatly loved by their congregation and by many Wimberley citizens,” Wimberley Church of Christ member Marshall Jennings said.
