'I am writing to voice my concern over the serious need for a stoplight at the intersection of Valley Drive and RR12, directly across from South River.
This morning, I had an early appointment in San Marcos, and as I drove down Valley Drive and approached RR12, there was the usual, early-morning, steady stream of cars going into Wimberley from the south. Were it not for a kind driver waving me to safely cross, I might have been there for who knows how long.
This heavy traffic happens every morning and at other times as well.
My visitors are always telling me, 'There needs to be a light here.' I'm sure everyone in South River, Paradise Hills and Paradise Valley would agree. Something needs to be done before a fatal — or even serious — accident occurs.'
